Pack up when everything is dry if possible. If not , try to get as much moisture off your tent, tent poles, pegs etc as possible. Erect the tent again when you get home and allow to dry thoroughly to prevent rust and mildew.

Ensure all fires are out - use water to put out the fire as sand can retain heat and smouldering embers for hours.  Not only is this a potential bushfire risk but it might pose a hazard to other children who might think the sand is for playing in.

Dispose of all rubbish properly. If there are no bins there, take your rubbish with you.
